We are pleased to announce the opening of registrations for the second edition of the training program “Addressing Deafblindness and Multiple Sensory Disabilities in the Educational Context”, accredited by the Ministry of Education and Research, offering 18–20 transferable professional credits.
In today’s context, marked by multiple changes, Sense International Romania reaffirms its support for teachers by exceptionally offering this year FREE participation in the training program through the “Vasile Adamescu” Scholarships.
Covering the participation costs for this in-depth program is a gesture of solidarity and support for teachers who are truly committed to specializing in supporting children with deafblindness and multiple sensory disabilities.
By taking part in this course, you will discover educational and therapeutic approaches specifically designed to meet the unique needs of children with deafblindness, using valuable tools and resources. You will gain access to structured theoretical information, case studies, and numerous practical examples of activities that can be applied directly in your daily classroom practice.
You will also benefit from the guidance of a team of well-prepared trainers and from being part of a community of specialists with whom you can share resources, experiences, and solutions.

Course structure
This is an intensive training program totaling 60 hours, of which 30 hours are live on Zoom with trainers, on Mondays and Saturdays, according to the schedule above.
- Live sessions with the trainers, via ZOOM: 7 meetings = 30 hours
- Course materials – individual study and practice: 30 hours
- Intermediate evaluation: multiple-choice tests on the platform www.cursuri.surdocecitate.ro
- Final evaluation: individual portfolios
The final evaluation will consist of developing individual portfolios, graded on a scale from 0 to 100 points based on an evaluation grid.
At the end of the course, graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion, accompanied by a Skills and Competency Record, issued by Sense International Romania Foundation.
The training program is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Research and grants 18–20 transferable credits.
Online training sessions may include sign language interpretation, depending on participants’ needs.
Course Registration
The number of participants in this training program is limited to a maximum of 25 trainees.
For this edition, Sense International Romania will fully cover the program cost through the “Vasile Adamescu” Scholarships, offered free of charge to teaching staff who demonstrate a genuine interest in participating, developing professionally, and training in the field of deafblindness.

Accepted candidates will sign a study scholarship contract with Sense International Romania.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, those who are interested to attend the training course, regardless of their professional or personal role, must:
- Be teachers in either special education schools or mainstream education schools;
- Commit to fully participating in all activities of the training program;
- Work with, or have a genuine interest in working with, children with deafblindness (DB) and multiple sensory disabilities (MSD);
- Read, understand, and adhere to the Personal Statements and the Safeguarding Policy;
- Promote equal opportunities and the rights of persons with disabilities, and be able to provide examples of such actions;
- Actively promote the rights of persons with deafblindness, and be able to provide examples of such actions;
- Be aware that 100% attendance is mandatory;
- Possess digital skills and have reliable internet access, since the course will take place online.
Priority will be given to participants who are already working with children with deafblindness and multiple sensory disabilities, in either special or mainstream education, as well as to graduates of the introductory courses on deafblindness organized by Sense International Romania between 2020–2025.
