INTRODUCTION COURSE IN DEAFBLINDNESS, 2025
Attend the Introduction Course in Deafblindness, organized by Sense International Romania Foundation, and gain essential, fundamental knowledge to understand and support children and adults with deafblindness.
By participating in this course, you will learn about the causes of this disability, communication methods, orientation and mobility, as well as personal and social development in children, adults, and the elderly. The course is structured to provide you with a solid foundation, whether you use the information in your personal or professional life.
In an interactive online format, you will have access to valuable resources and the expertise of a team of trainers with over 20 years of experience in the field. We warmly invite you to join us for the 5th edition of the Introduction Course in Deafblindness!
Who is this course for?
The course is dedicated to those who know or interact directly with children, young people, adults, or elderly individuals with deafblindness: teachers from special or mainstream education, parents, social workers, psychologists, other specialists from related fields, students, etc.

Course structure
The course will take place online from March 28th to April 4th, 2025, totaling a number of 21 hours of study, as follows:
- Live online sessions with trainers via ZOOM: 3 meetings = 11 hours
- Self-paced individual study= 9 hours
- Final assessment (including a multiple-choice test)= 1 hour
Important
The live sessions with the trainers will be held on Zoom on the following dates:
- Friday, March 28th: 17:00 - 20:00
- Saturday, March 29th: 10:00 - 16:00
- Sunday, March 30th: 10:00 - 13:00
For the live meetings, we can provide Romanian Sign Language interpretation, depending on participants' needs. If you require any adaptations, please contact us at cursuri@surdocecitate.ro.
Costs
The participation fee for this course is 300 RON, which covers the costs of trainers and the e-learning platform.
