INTRODUCTION COURSE IN DEAFBLINDNESS, 2026

To mark its 25th anniversary, Sense International Romania is offering free access to the Introduction Course in Deafblindness, available to everyone interested.
This course provides an opportunity to gain fundamental, essential knowledge about this disability.
By participating in this course, you will learn about the causes of deafblindness, methods of communication, orientation and mobility techniques, as well as personal and social development in children, adults, and elderly persons. The course is structured to provide a strong foundation, whether you intend to use this information in your personal or professional life, in order to support and understand better people with deafblindness.
The course is open to all those interested in this complex disability: teachers from both special and mainstream education, parents, social workers, psychologists, other professionals in related fields, students, and more.

Course Structure
The course will take place online from March 27th to April 3rd, 2025, totaling a number of 21 hours of study, as follows:
Live online sessions with trainers via ZOOM: 3 meetings = 11 hours:
- Friday, March 27th (17:00 – 20:00)
- Saturday, March 28th (10:00 – 16:00)
- Sunday, March 29th (10:00 – 13:00)
Self-paced individual study= 10 hours.

In this anniversary year, we are offering free participation to everyone interested.

Please note that registration becomes final only after the training contract has been signed, at which point you will receive confirmation of your place on the course.
Enrollment will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis until all course slots are taken.
