Initiation course in the field of deafblindness, 2021
Between October 11 - November 28 2021, Sense International Romania organised the first edition of the Initiation Course in the Field of Deafblindness, held online of the e-learning platform www.cursuri.surdocecitate.ro
For seven weeks, the 30 participants went through the 10 modules of the course, approaching diverse themes such as the historical context of this type of multisensory impairment, the main causes, the way in which these people communicate, important principles in orientation and mobility, personal and social development, means of intervention and the specifics of deafblindness with children, adults and the elderly.
Every Monday evenings, for two hours, the four trainers spent time with the participants going through the themes, answering questions, offering exampes from their extensive experience in the niche field of deafblindenss.
