Sensi's Online Adventures

Dear children,  parents, teachers, journalists, partners, Sense International Romania and Orange Foundation invite you to meet Sensi, the animated character who tells children about online safety!

Sense is a child with deafblindness, meaning with both hearing and visual impairments. Wearing glasses and a hearing aid, Sensi can surf the internet.

This activity is part of the project Sensi – Online Safety for Children with Sensory Impairments, a project funded by Orange Foundation through the programmes “The World through Colour and Sound”, 2020 edition.

About the project

The project Sensi 0 online safety for children with sensory impairments is a Sense International Romania project funded by Orange Foudnation. The project promotes the online safety of children through animated videos, offering children with sensory impairements the tools, knowledge and confidence necessary to reduce the risk of online abuse.

This is a national level project, in partnership with 21 special schools from Arad, București, Buzău, Cluj Napoca, Craiova, Fălticeni, Focșani, Galați, Iași, Oradea, Sibiu, Târgu Frumos și Timișoara.

An important component of the project is a Research Report around the online behaviour of children with sensory impairments, developed in order to create a comprehensive image of the existing situation and to support the development of the videos.

The project takes place between January and December 2021 and it's funded by The Orange Foundation through the World through Color and Sound 2020 Program. Its total value is 104,721 lei, the contribution of the Orange Foundation being 91,886 lei.
