Adina Ciulei is an economist who has been actively involved in the organization of the 16th Deafblind International World Conference. On this occasion, she learned about deafblindness and decided to become more actively involved in improving the life of people with deafblindness in Romania.

Dumitru Cioiu has been a long-time friend and partner of Sense International Romania, as the father of a very special boy, Mădălin – who benefited from Sense International Romania vocational programme, being in the first generation of graduates from the off-set typography course within the Professional Secondary School “Saint Mary” from Bucharest.

Diana Mihaela Ionescu is a Specialist in European Projects and has over 30 years of work experience. In the last 16 years, she worked as an independent expert and consultant for Programmes finances by USAID, PHARE, the World Bank, structural funds of the European Union. Her large experience includes evaluation and monitoring projects, evaluation of Programmes, development and implementation of grant schemes.

Alison joined Sense International UK in March 2017 and is responsible for all of its operations and strategic growth and direction. Previously Alison worked as the Director of Advocacy, Accountability and Campaigns at the International Planned Parenthood Federation, the leading global work on sexual and reproductive health and rights and gender equality. Prior to this she has also worked for UNICEF UK, Bond, CAFOD and other international development organizations. Alison has Masters Degrees in NGO Management, Human Rights, Rural development and Geography. Alison is a Trustee of the Fairtrade Foundation, an active member of the Women’s Equality Party.

Alina Bugean graduated from the University of Letters, History and Journalism within the University ”Lucian Blaga” from Sibiu, with specialization in Marketing and Business Communication. Alina activates in the industry of events since 2001, becoming in the first place the partner of the foundation for the 16th Conference Deafblind International and later she remained close to our cause as a friend and supporter as she declares – ”Together with a team of great human and professional quality which received me with warm in their home, I am happy to work for the benefit, health and good of people with deafblindness”.

Raluca graduated the Academy of Economics Bucharest and has an extensive experience in the field of finance, experience gained over the year working for various companies. She joined Sense International Romania Board of Directors in 2019 and she is the Treasurer of the Board, verifying and ensuring the transparency and legality of all financial operations of the foundation.

Viorel Micu is a graduate of Babeș Bolyai University from Cluj Napoca, The Special Education Department. He is directly involved in working with people with deafblindness in Romania, having been by the side of professor Vasile Adamescu as communication guide. He is an ambassador of the cause of people with deafblindness. He joined the Foundation Board of Directors in 2019 and, among others, he is responsible with ensuring that the organisation safeguading policies are repected.
